All Peoples – Meet Our Team – Erick Moreno

Let’s get to know Erick Moreno, All Peoples Community Center’s 8th – 12th Grade and Arts Program Youth Coordinator:

Favorite Food: Peruvian /Pollo or Lomo Saltado

Favorite Color: Grey & Blue

Favorite Animal: Dog

Favorite Quote/Saying: “So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”

How would you describe All Peoples Community Center?: Many people grow up missing something in their lives, some don’t have resources while others don’t have family. All Peoples has been the resource and family that many of us will never have available because of the inequalities of our society. They empower community members to better their situations through organizing, counseling, education and resources.

Favorite Part of Your Job: During the summer we do so many activities and I am always happy to teach art and show my creative side. Another favorite part of my job is taking the Youth camping to Lock Leven.  I teach them Archery during our stay at the camp site.

My Best All Peoples Story: One day I got hit by a car on my Bicycle and broke my clavicle and was hurt for a month and wasn’t able to come back to work. The staff took it upon themselves to do a small fundraiser to help me out.

Hobbies: I love painting, creating, and Imagining things. During my free time I paint or Create worlds in video games.

Fun Fact About Me/Hidden Talent: I love challenges.  If you’re in my team most likely we are going to win, or I am push you hard enough to do it.

Me in 3 Words: Reserved, Traditional, and Just!

We’re so happy that Erick Moreno is part of our All Peoples Family!
