Parent College Workshops Fall 2018

COLLEGE CORNER: The 5-week long Parent College Workshop session ended on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Los Angeles United School District PSA Stacy Gooding with College Advisors Susana Nieva and Elizabeth Martinez hosted the workshops which included topics such as: Attendance Matters, Pathway to College & Testing, I Can Afford College, Your College – Your Choice, and Cyber Bullying.

Our LAUSD PSA worker, Stacy Gooding, is on-site during the academic year conducting youth academic assessments, community outreach, parent workshops, and works closely with our case managers to serve our families. College Corner advisors Susana Nieva and Elizabeth Martinez are currently enrolled in college, and are able to give our Youth and Parents first-hand advice as they guide them through the College experience.
