All Peoples Annual Back to School Night was held on Thursday, August 15, 2019. 309 youth received backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year. The Los Angeles United School District (LAUSD) Pupil and Service Attendance (PSA) Counselor spoke with students to help them navigate through the A-G requirements [a sequence of high school courses that students must complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU)]. Representatives from CARECEN had the opportunity to meet with parents to help prepare and answer any questions they have regarding immigration and the upcoming school year.
We would like to thank Big Sunday, The Kabbalah Center, AAA Automobile, Johnny Andrade, and Modern Woodmen of America for donation of their time and school supplies for the event. A special thank you to Victor Nwaba and Hector Romo from Modern Woodmen of America for attending the event. * **
