All Peoples FamilySource College Corner staff has released our 2020 Campus Tour Schedule. College Advisors expose students and parents to college life by taking trips to local university campuses. During the tour, students and parents learn about campus history, admission requirements, financial aid, etc.

One of the most compelling and important reasons for taking the students and parents on college tours is so that they could see the college firsthand – the classrooms, dorms, and library – in the event that they were to commit to these universities. They get the sense that college is a Real possibility, explains Youth Director Deisy Huerta.

Our College Advisors research the respective campus and present on the programs provided, and whenever possible, we like to invite a student or an alumni from the University to join the campus tour. This provides a better experience for the students and their families who attend the tours. Below you will find the names and dates of our 2020 campus tours:

  • February 29: UCLA – Thank you UCLA Alumni and All Peoples Board Member David Cristales for attending the UCLA Campus Tour!

College Alumni Tour Guides needed for the following:

  • March 28: UC Irvine
  • April 25: Mount Saint Mary’s
  • May 23: Pasadena City College
  • June 20: Cerritos City College
  • August 22: Cal State Northridge
  • September 26: Cal State Dominguez Hills
  • October 24: Woodbury University
  • November 28 Cal State Fullerton
  • December 19: Cal State Long Beach

About All Peoples Community Center

All Peoples Community Center (All Peoples) is an all-encompassing neighborhood center whose mission is to provide social services and programs that empower individuals and promote community, respect, and self-determination for all.

Founded in 1942, All Peoples has served as a true safe haven and trusted place for low-income children and families in South Los Angeles.  Today, All Peoples provides a myriad of social and educational services to more than 6,600 people per year in its 20,000-square-foot center located in a residential area of South LA’s Vernon-Central neighborhood, immediately south of downtown Los Angeles.
