Favorite Part of Your Job: The favorite part of my job is our open door policy.  Being able to help anyone in any situation really makes me confident and happy about the services we can provide to All People.

Michelle Watson_Thanksgiving 2016

My best All Peoples story: I sat down with and enrolled a Family of 10.  This family was especially unique because they were multi-cultural and most of the children were adopted.  The parents were experiencing some financial troubles so I registered them for financial literacy classes here at All Peoples.  Less than a year later the family was able to find over $800 in unclaimed money due to the information they received.  They were also able to save $1500 and pay off two family vehicles which increased their credit score by 80 points!  The family and I have an amazing relationship and it all started because of the service I was able to provide thanks to All Peoples.

Hobbies: I love to help others.  I also love to cook, paint and draw.  I love all the Arts.

How would you describe All Peoples Community Center: All Peoples is more than just a community center it is a second home to everyone.

Favorite Part of Your Job: Being able to share the knowledge that I’ve gained as a first generation college student with the youth and their parents (e.g. filling out CSU/UC apps, FAFSA/ CA Dream Act, writing prompts, financial literacy, etc.).

David Solis

My best All Peoples story: We had taken a group of students and parents to LATTC’s Cash for College Event. They all had the chance to attend various workshops and got their questions answered. Towards the end, there was a raffle for a scholarship. 10 student attendees had the chance to win. They had just announced the 10th winner and unfortunately none of our students were called. Both the parents and students wanted to leave but I kept insisting, “wait… just give it a few more secs… just wait.” They called the student for the 3rd time and no show. One of the hosts pulled out another ticket and bamm… one of our students from All Peoples was the 10th winner of the scholarship.

Hobbies: I like to play soccer, draw every now and then, write music, and stay involved in my community.
