Saundra Bryant is the Executive Director of All Peoples Community Center, a position she has held for over thirty years. Her first experience with All Peoples was as a two-year-old in their day care facility. She continued to participate in the agency’s program throughout her childhood and adolescence. Her commitment and passion for her community is demonstrated in her lifelong tenure of serving others.

Saundra attended California State Polytechnic University, in Pomona, California, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in the area of Social Work. She attained her Master’s Degree in Social Work Administration and Planning from the University of Tennessee, at Knoxville. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California.
In 1987, Saundra became the first female member of the Los Angeles Host Lions club, chartered in 1914, and in 1992 was installed as its first female President. She represented her club at the International Convention in Hong Kong in that same year. In 1999, Saundra received the Melvin Jones Fellows award from her club, one of the highest honors in Lionism.
Saundra Bryant was one of ten individuals named 1999 Lewis Hines Award Recipient by the National Child Labor Committee. She also received the 1999 California Association of Human Relations Organizations Civil Rights Leadership Award.
In 2000, Saundra was honored as one of six recipients to receive the Durfee Fellowship. This fellowship provided her with a three month sabbatical. Saundra was also selected as the Pioneer Woman of the year 2000 representing the Ninth Council District of the City of Los Angeles. In 2004, she was the recipient of the Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Sheppard Award. In 2005, she received the Martin Luther King Disciple of the year award, presented by the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. In 2007, she received the Peace Officer Association of Los Angeles County Professional Achievement Award. In 2008, she was selected again as the Pioneer Woman of year representing Ninth Council District. In 2016, she was selected a Woman of the Year representing California’s 59th Assembly District in honor of Women’s history month.
Saundra’s service in the community surrounding All Peoples includes: member of Board of Directors of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program of Los Angeles. Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Police Department Community Police Advisory Board – Newton Division. Saundra has served on several panels for orientation of Police Officers who have been promoted to serve in specialized units of the department including S.W.A.T division. She is committed to being a voice for change in her community.
Saundra Bryant is a life-long and active member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is an Elder of All Peoples Christian Church, Los Angeles. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Southwest Region of the Christian Church. On the General Level of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Saundra served as the First Vice Moderator of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. She served as a Trustee of the National Convocation of the African American Congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was a member of the Board of Directors and Administrative Committee of the Denomination. She is former member of the anti-racism committee of the Pacific Southwest Region Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Saundra is married to Leo Bryant for over 30 years; has one adult son, and one granddaughter.
