How would you describe All Peoples Community Center?: All Peoples is a place that doesn’t believe in turning people away. It assists everyone who enters through their doors and is the place that people turn to whether they are experiencing difficulties or want to be exposed to brand new experiences. It provides people with new opportunities that will serve as life skills and memories.

Favorite Part of Your Job: Interacting with community members. As a first-generation, I can relate to several of the people I’m outreaching. I see myself and my parents in each family that I speak to, and that’s what fuels my drive to raise awareness about available resources.

My best All Peoples story: It’s difficult to pinpoint one specific story as a favorite. As outreach coordinator, I have the opportunity to engage with clients before they begin receiving services at All Peoples. My best All Peoples stories happen every time I see a client that I met while outreaching, walking through our building and receiving services. I see these clients participating in classes, workshops, and several programs and it all started with a simple, “Hello, have you heard of All Peoples Community Center?”.

Hobbies: Writing, walking my furbaby, watching horror movies, and being a couch potato every now and then.

Fun Fact About Me/Hidden Talent: I have some training in boxing.

Me in 3 Words: Ambitious, Considerate, and Persistent.

We’re so happy that Jennifer Santos is part of our All Peoples Family!

A Global Day of Giving.

November 28, 2017 was #GivingTuesday.

Our goal was to raise $2,000 to support our college readiness program “Tomorrow’s Leaders – College Corner”.   Together we raised $2,395! All donations will go towards Books, College Tours, Bus Transportation, College Workshops and College Application Fees.  Our next College Tour is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017. Our College Advisors will be taking Youth and Parents to Cal State University Northridge and Cal State University Channel Islands. They will learn about campus history, admission requirements, and financial planning. There’s still time to give!  Your one-time or sustaining gift enables us to continue serving the South Los Angeles community with REAL SOLUTIONS and REAL HEART.  We’re Thankful for your Support, and all donations are appreciated!  Please visit our donation page to give now: DONATIONS. Thank you again for investing in our Youth!
Founded in 1942, to sustain a community decimated by the internment of its largely Japanese-American residents, All Peoples has been a hub of vital resources for a neighborhood that has changed from Japanese-American, to African-American, to Latino today.  All Peoples has been the very heart of a community, roughly defined by the 90011 area code and home to 130,000 people, just southwest of downtown Los Angeles.  The Center serves hundreds of people of all ages, six days a week, with an extensive menu of educational, financial literacy, health empowerment, and family support programs at its facility just southwest of downtown Los Angeles.  Give us a call today at (213) 747-6357, or Email to find out how you can get involved!
