Youth Programs
All
Peoples After School Program The All peoples After School Program was designed for children from the 1st through to the 12th grade. We set up this program to assist your child in their
homework as well as foster their social development. The goals of this program are to help motivate students at an early
level to graduate from high school and pursue higher education. Additionally, we provide parents with information and
thus promote awareness about the academics. This way, they will play a more involved role in their child’s education.
Social Programs
- Some of the activities we carry out during the program include sewing and photography as well
as interactive activities in our gymnasium. We also provide the students with different workshops such as relationship
and self-esteem counseling, drug prevention, and health awareness.
- We
provide students that face other difficulties with Case Management Services, Anger Management and Counseling.
Academic Programs
- All
our participants are pre and post tested through the Star Math and Star Reading system to help us have an understanding
on where the participant stands from an academic standpoint.
- We
meet with parents on a regular basis to provide them information on their child's performance during sessions.
- We also have computer
classes to familiarize you child with using and understanding computers. Reading, mathematics, history and many other subjects
are usually incorporated into the computer lab sessions.
Our program timings are 3 pm to 6:30 pm from Mondays to Thursdays
and 3 pm to 5:30 pm on Fridays. Snacks will be served everyday before the start of the program. Camp Joe Ide Summer Camp Camp
Joe Ide is a summer camp that All Peoples Christian Center holds every year for youth between the age of 8 to 12. It gives
youth the rare experience of being outdoors in nature. Students who get the opportunity to be a part of this trip will get
to see another part of California not often visited. They could also gain a different perspective of the outdoors and nature.
The summer camp lasts a week and is located in the San Bernardino Mountains. Children will be involved
in activities such as swimming, archery, a movie night, and even an overnight hike through the mountains. The camp counselors
are staff of the All Peoples Christian Center and are trained in CPR and other medical emergencies.
Every year we take
60 children to be a part of the Joe Ide summer camp experience. There is a fee for taking part in this program which is subject
to change. A subsidized rate might be offered to children who come from families that require financial aid. Be sure to enroll
early to take part this annual event! Priority is given to children in the After School Programs.
